Our Railyard Oak has a distinct look with rugged texture, a rich range of grey, taupe, and tan color tones, and occasional rusty stains and strap marks. Primarily Oak, a small percentage of other hardwoods may be included in the mix.

Sources

This batch of material was sourced from shipping yards in Alabama where a mix of 2 x 6” and 4 x 4” boards were used as dunnage to stack and store metal piping. Ferrous staining from where the metal was in contact with the wood, and nail holes where triangular blocks were once attached to prevent pipes from rolling off, are a testament to this material’s past life.
