Shou Sugi Ban is an ancient Japanese technique of burning wood as a preservative treatment for exterior siding. Starting with sustainably harvested Larch (our preferred species), we burn and then brush the wood to better expose the grain. Undressed, as the name teases, comes with no additional finish applied. Install it as-is and let the raw wood age with time, or topcoat after installation with a finish of your choice. Perfect for interior or exterior applications.
