Pioneer Millworks Larch Siding & Shiplap: The rot resistance of this underutilized species rivals that of Douglas fir which makes it a great option for exterior or interior uses. The signature swirling grain and small tight knots of Larch brings a natural finish to vertical applications, and all of our Larch products are made from sustainably sourced PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) trees grown in the Pacific Northwest. Pair it with one of our color options which show off the wood grain patterns through hue and tone; it has been brushed which enhances color saturation & adhesion.
For those that can’t choose between beige and grey, consider Clay. This trickster of colors has two sides: in full sun a warm beige is in full display; in shade this finish becomes a cooler grey. Clay is a more pigmented color, flattening wood grain and allowing for a more constant tone when viewed at a distance.
