Job Summary:
The Customer Experience Manager is responsible for ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction for our customers throughout their journey with Pioneer Millworks. This role involves overseeing the customer service team, managing customer inquiries, complex concerns, and continuously improving the customer experience through innovative strategies and solutions. The position involves a big-picture strategic approach to problem-solving, a mentality that the client is the key to company success, and an ability to work with multiple departments to create processes that put the client first.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership:
   • Supervise and mentor the customer service team, providing training, support, and performance evaluations.
   • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting professional development and growth.
2. Customer Service Management:
   • Oversee day-to-day operations of the customer service department, ensuring timely and effective responses to customer inquiries and issues.
   • Develop and implement customer service policies, procedures, and standards to enhance the customer experience.
   • Handle complex customer concerns and issues, working to resolve them efficiently and satisfactorily.
3. Customer Experience Enhancement:
   • Analyze customer feedback and data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance the customer experience.
   • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and production, to ensure a seamless and integrated customer journey.
   • Implement customer retention programs and initiatives to build long-term relationships and loyalty.
4. Reporting and Analysis:
   • Monitor and report on key customer service metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
   • Conduct regular analysis of customer satisfaction and feedback to inform strategic decisions and improvements.
5. Strategy Implementation:
   • Establish a Customer Experience Strategy that dovetails into current Sales and Marketing efforts.
   • Manage technical aspects of Salesforce (CRM) and work with sales and marketing teams to continuously improve the CRM for optimal user experience and information management.
6. Project Management:
   • Own projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and successful completion.
   • Build Customer Experience strategies and processes that can be followed by support teams, including Customer Service, Sales Support, and Product SMEs.
7. Brand Ambassador:
   • Build brand ambassadors through interaction with coworkers and customers.
   • Stay abreast of new initiatives, products, and services, and look for opportunities to bring them into the business.

Initial Projects:

• Introduce a customer portal/platform where customers can get real-time updates on their sample, order, or shipping status.
• Discover the needs of customer service within Pioneer Millworks and build a scalable team to manage implementation and success of KPIs, including:
  • Create Customer Service Associate job description.
  • Create and manage warranty/customer claim process.
  • Author flow chart for customer interaction processes after the sale.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in customer service, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric mindset.
• Proficiency in customer service software and CRM systems; Salesforce proficiency preferred.
• Experience in the wood and timber industry is a plus.

Pay Range: $50k to $80k base plus commission

We’re looking for a dynamic Salesperson to join our passionate and creative team based in Farmington, NY where our national headquarters is located. This role is fully remote, with an expectation of regular travel within a midwestern territory.

Pioneer Millworks is a national leader in the manufacturing of sustainable & reclaimed wood, revered for our commitment to quality, craft, and the planet. We produce some of the finest wood flooring, paneling, siding, and decking from certified & reclaimed sources in our bicoastal New York and Oregon mills, and sell our products direct to consumers, architects, builders, and designers with the help of our dedicated in-house sales team. 

The ideal candidate will join our sales team and contribute to the continued growth and success of our employee-owned company by working closely with our sales manager, general manager, and marketing team.

Required Experience:

• Proven success in product sales (ideally in the building materials industry).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.

• Creating opportunities for sales by identifying and prospecting potential customers within the architecture, interior design, construction markets.

This role will work at various stations within our production line in our mill and finishing departments, providing a great opportunity to learn and grow within a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a passion for craft & woodwork that will play an active role in the manufacturing of wood flooring, paneling, siding, and other custom wood products using reclaimed and sustainable wood.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Machine Operator / Finishing Technician. This role is vital to our wood processing operations, supporting the transformation of raw and reclaimed materials into finished, sustainable wood products. You will work closely with our production team to ensure quality craftsmanship in every stage of production, from milling to finishing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate woodworking machinery to cut and process raw and reclaimed wood materials.
• Assist with the sorting, grading, and stacking of lumber.
• Perform finishing tasks, including sanding, staining, and applying protective coatings to wood products.
• Use various hand and power tools to shape and refine wood products.
• Ensure the quality of finished materials meets company standards and customer specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure all equipment is used in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Support production teams with various labor tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Ability to operate machinery and use hand/power tools safely and effectively.
