Shou Sugi Ban Larch Tiger's Eye by Pioneer Millworks. Charred wood siding and paneling that is burned, brushed twice, and coated with an water-base poly

Larch Tiger's Eye

Traditionally Inspired American Made™. This 18th century technique of preserving wood with fire is refreshed for today’s design. Aggressively burning the surface layer of our PEFC sourced Larch, we then wire-brush each plank multiple times to remove the soft char and expose the contrasting grain below. This heavily textured and visually dynamic surface can be left unfinished or can be coated with an exterior grade finish as shown here in Tiger's Eye; where the unfinished look of Larch's natural warmth and the swirls of deep char are protected from wear with a clear poly.

Larch is a durable wood exterior option with attractive tones, interesting grain patterns, rot, insect and fire-resistant. Our Shou Sugi Ban Larch Twice-Brushed can just as comfortably clad an interior wall providing a bold statement to any indoor design.
