Home to Western Washington University's electrical engineering and computer science programs, this biophilic higher-education building by Perkins&Will boasts Pioneer Millworks Accoya Carbon, a Shou Sugi Ban (or charred) wood siding on its entire facade. The mass timber building sits near the campus arboretum with the dark siding giving contrast to the bright wood featured throughout the inside and natural surroundings.
