OUR NEWEST TEAM MEMBERS
As we strive to serve you and meet your project needs, we’ve enlisted some new folks who we’re excited to introduce.
Andy McQuade, Director of Sales
Andy spent a few decades in the material supply realm with some big-name national stores, guiding client choices for everything from single room remodels to hotels, restaurants, apartments complexes, student housing, and more.
“I’m inquisitive by nature and I like to learn. I ask lots of questions! It was the right time for me to make a change, to learn something new so when the opportunity to be a part of Pioneer Millworks came up, I jumped on it. Talk about one-of-a-kind products in a cool industry. I’m pretty excited to be here,” Andy said.
“I like getting to know people. I get the most satisfaction understanding the vision, goals, and priorities of clients and their projects and integrating Pioneer’s capabilities with those goals and priorities,” he continued.
Nearly every one of our coworkers is an outdoor enthusiast (we seem to attract them!). Andy is no exception. “Living near Lake Ontario is a big part of life for me, my wife, our son, and even our German Shepard. We canoe, fish, camp, snowmobile…and when I have time, I’m working on making our 1950’s farmhouse a more efficient and comfortable.”
“I’m looking forward to helping Pioneer Millworks continue to scale up, to help projects to reach their full potential using reclaimed and sustainable wood products throughout the USA.”
Jack Cox, Mid-Atlantic Sales
Don’t let Jack’s southern accent distract you; he has been a stalwart in the building industry throughout the East Coast for longer than he lived in Mississippi. On a laugh Jack told us, “Yeah, I forget I don’t sound like the usual East Coaster. Boy I’ve represented all sorts of thoughtful building products up and down the coast. I’m excited to work with our reclaimed and sustainable wood—it really speaks to me.”
Jack is a self-professed man-of-all-trades. He can turn a wrench, wield a hammer, and give advice on colors, textures, and tones for any project. “I love how wood can be a focal point or the canvas of a project,” he said. “I’m glad to be traveling throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The architects and designers in Charlotte and DC have been a blast to visit.”
We know Jack’s excited about the changing seasons in the Finger Lakes Region of NY as he likes “to do just about anything outside”, especially with his two sons. (If you have some spare time, ask Jack about the old train station turned art-gallery-book-store-tattoo-parlor-music-venue he owned and managed.)
Janice Atlman, Pac-Central Sales: Oregon, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska
Janice dedicated many years to servicing the Arts, owning and running a high-end gallery prior to independently representing artists in the Portland Metro area. She has a practiced eye for color, layout, and design. “I worked mostly with painters, sculptors, and glass artists during my gallery years so there was plenty of hues and textures. Then I moved on to helping Oregon pull together teams of people for various projects. Most recently I headed to Alaska where I spearheaded new revenue streams for the largest flooring store in the state. Wood was always a big draw for me, I’m excited to be sharing Pioneer Millworks products.”
Janice also has a background in Viticulture. “I still like to make wine to this day,” she said, “but I also sail.” We know Janice has just a few other hobbies too: she’s a writer, a hiker, a fisherwoman, and former mountain climber.
“It has already been exciting to connect with folks, new and known to me, to share our products. The creativity that’s possible with wood is nearly limitless and I can’t think of anything better to help integrate into projects,” continued Janice.
We’re looking forward to getting to know these folks better! As Jonathan, our Founder and President, commented, “Each team member brings great experience to our sales services and will build customer experiences and successes, ensuring that we delight designers, builders, architects, and homeowners while fulfilling their vision and goals.”
Thanks for joining us on this crazy ride.
